The health and safety of our valued employees are of the utmost importance to us. Since mid-March 2020, we’ve gone remote with the option to work in our Darien office. We will continue this temporary work arrangement through January and will return to the office a minimum of one day a week.As a result, only local candidates will be considered for this position.
We're looking for a marketing guru to manage the creative development of marketing campaigns to reach out to sleep physician and researcher target markets. This person will also strengthen our brand by developing selling strategies for our educational programs, products, and services.
You already have at least three years of marketing and sales experience, including one year as a manager. You are acreative and analytical thinkerwhowrites wellandthrives on collaboration with your peers. Fit the bill so far? Then this may be the job for you!
What You’ll Do
- Lead the marketing team(two direct reports)and develop short and long-term strategic goals for the department, including staff growth and development.
- 开发、实施和监督战略营销plans and selling strategies for the programs, products, and services offered by the AASM. Develop account penetration strategies for key target and competitive accounts. Share market research findings with appropriate departments along with field concerns, issues, and requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to maintain continuity and messaging among all brands.
- Promote AASM educational products and services to current and prospective members, patients, and other related industries. Develop compelling content and provide creative direction to engage with current and prospective B2B and B2C target audiences.
- Monitor product lifecycle to ensure products are still relevant and profitable.
- Monitor industry climate and trends. Recommend products and services that can be developed to increase exposure and outreach of the organization.
- Partner with sales team to develop go-to-market strategies for new products and services.
- Identify and pursue new income sources.
- Prepare status reports, including activity, follow-up, and adherence to sales objectives.
- Engage with target markets to promote educational courses and provide on-site opportunities for attendees to expand their personal development and/or practice.
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate AASM staff.
- Participate in annual budgeting process; manage marketing budget expenses.
- Some travel is required with this position (up to 10%), which may include weekends.
What we need:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; degree in marketing desirable
- Minimum three (3) years related marketing and sales experience
- One (1) year of management experience
- Experience setting up a marketing organizational structure, strategic planning, and goal setting
- Professional and persuasive verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with email automation and management software (HubSpot or Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
- Must thrive on open communication and collaboration
- Experience with data mining
- Working knowledge of social media to increase brand recognition, create opportunities for customers to convert, and increase positive engagement
- Familiarity with marketing concepts such as multi-channel marketing, marketing automation, drip campaigns, and A/B testing
- Proven success in initiating, developing, implementing, and evaluating marketing campaigns for meetings, products and services email, direct mail, and social media
- Ability to generate leads into sales through strategic planning and effective time management
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Analytical thinker who takes initiative
