Under general supervision of the Director will show expertise in performing all aspects of Polysomnography for both clinical and research patients. Should be able to manage and monitor protocol documentation. Interface with the GCRC and various researchers. Prepare quarterly reports on protocol activity. Monitor and order all lab supplies and perform other duties as assigned. This position requires good judgment and a professional manner and appearance should characterize this technologist in his/her interactions with all patients. Technologist will score studies, train assistant sleep technologists in laboratory procedures and general laboratory practices as well as emergency procedures and other duties as defined in the laboratory manual.

• Polysomnographic Procedures - Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure, and other significant events in order to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results. Implement appropriate interventions (including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention such as continuous and bi-level positive airway pressure, oxygen administration, etc.).
• Polysomnographic Procedures - Follow lights on procedures to verify integrity of collected data and complete the data collection process (e.g. repeats the physiological and instrument calibrations and instructs the patient on completing questionnaires, etc.). Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Minimum Qualifications:
